Bryce and Chase are growing up too fast. It won’t be long and they will be driving. Bryce has gone to San Antonio and Chase is walking around yelling “Bubba”.

Well the day has finally come, Chase Tyler blessed us with his presence on May 19th, at 5:55pm, weighing in at 7 lbs 3oz, and is 20 3/4 inches long. “Rookie” as he has been nicknamed is healthy and looking forward to hanging out with his brother. Mom is doing wonderful and is glad to have the final addition to her family of boys. More photos can be seen in our photo galleries.

Bryce graduated from Pre-K on Tuesday, May12th. He looked so handsome and grown-up. He was all smiles and very excited about the day. He was surrounded by his family and talked about everyone that came. I was a very proud parent watching my son hit one of his first milestones in school.

For Mother’s Day I received a 3D/4D Ultrasound. It was so amazing to see our little one and how he looks. He looks so much like his big brother it is crazy. Bryce is now more excited than ever to have his little brother home. He keeps telling me to get up and walk. I want Rookie now.
Isn’t he handsome!!

Construction is underway again, and hopefully for a final time. This will complete the humble abode with 2 additional bedrooms, another full bath and a family room. Bryce has already made plans to move upstairs, he feels it is the least he can do to make room for baby - perhaps we can declare the upper chamber as “Man Land”!

Bryce received a Wii for Christmas and nothing has been the same since. I have noticed that the Wii can be very entertaining. Justin and Bryce play the Wii together almost daily. The only days missed are when Justin is at the fire station. Bryce loves to play and especially BEAT his daddy. He tells him “You’re going down Dad!” and usually he is right. They have been playing tennis, baseball, bowling and boxing. Bryce holds the record for KOing his Dad in boxing. The boys occasionally let me play. We went and bought another remote so now maybe Mom can join in too. It is great to see the boys actively playing together. They both have to take breaks because they get too overheated. One night they both stripped down to their boxers to play because they just didn’t want to stop. I believe the Wii was the greatest present we could have ever bought. It has truly brought the family together. Bryce is planning family nights and has even invited my in-laws over to play. Wii are having so much FUN!

Sand Springs firefighters and other City officials gathered Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, to dedicate the fire department’s new pumper truck – Engine 1. The 2008 Spartan Gladiator model was custom built by Crimson Fire Inc. of Brandon, SD.The new truck’s $408,047 cost s being funded by rural fire subscription fees that property owners located outside the city limits pay monthly to defray out-of-pocket expenses for fire responses.
The dedication also marked the retirement of the Fire Department’s Engine 3, a 1978 Pierce pumper truck that previously served as Engine 1 until the mid-1990s.
Following a dedication blessing by Rev. Dan Milford of First Presbyterian Church, Mayor Bob Walker formally dedicated the truck with the following resolution:
“The City of Sand Springs Fire Department would like to announce the retirement of Engine Company 3, Asset #701, and welcome new Engine Company 1, Asset #729.
“We would like to wish this apparatus and the personnel of Engine Company 1 a safe journey and the skills necessary to provide the best possible service to our visitors and the citizens of the City of Sand Springs.
“Formally placed into service this fifth day of November, 2008.”

First visual sighting of the “Bun in the Oven” occurred on October 15th. Here the little thing is projected to being 6 weeks and 1 day into life. We were even able to hear the hearbeat - amazing is all that can be said!
